01
Wash Day Starts Here

Before You Wash
New extensions can feel intimidating, start with the pre-wash checklist before hopping in the shower.
-
Gently brush with a boar bristle or nylon brush, stabilizing your row with your free hand to avoid tugging on your row.
-
Section your rows before getting your hair wet, this helps prevent tangling and makes it easier to cleanse between each row.
-
Pro tip: Lightly mist your hair and apply your Goldielocks Signature Mask before washing for maximum hydration.
Healthy Wash Habits
Healthy extensions start with intentional wash days. Follow these simple washing and conditioning steps to protect your rows, maintain moisture, and extend the life of your hair
-
Shampoo: Apply your emulsified shampoo to rows and scalp only and massage gently. Rinse thoroughly without scrubbing or pulling on the extensions.
-
Condition: Apply conditioner from mid-lengths to ends, avoiding scalp, beads and rows.
-
Frequency: Wash 2–3 times per week with your Goldie Locks moisture-focused products and rinse with cool water to help seal the cuticle.
-
Treatment: Use your Goldielocks Signature Mask 1–2 times weekly from mid-lengths to ends.
-
Pro Tip: Extend the life of your style by incorporating a top wash.

Drying & Styling Your Extensions
A few intentional habits can make all the difference in protecting your rows, minimizing tension, and preserving your style.
-
Always use a heat protectant before styling; keep tools under 350°F.
-
Opt for extension-safe volumizing products like Goldielocks Volumizing Texture Spray, for added lift.
-
Blow-dry in sections to ensure each row is fully dry.
-
Never sleep or tie up wet hair to prevent damage.
-
Avoid tight hairstyles that strain rows or beads and pull in un-natural directions.
